Lampang - The province of horse-drawn carriages and stylized temples

The Lampang city is located in the north of Thailand. From Chiang Mai you can get by rental car in 1.5 hours. If you are traveling from the capital, it will take 8 hours.

So, why visit Lampang? This place will surprise tourists with horse-drawn carriages that are used as cabs, chic temples. There is a contact zoo, an interesting store and delicious food. You can admire the views of the Wang River, walk through the park and enjoy the sunset from the bridge.

Historical landmarks

Wat Phra That Lampang Luang is an unusual temple on a mound with a large fortified wall. Very nice walkable area, there is a museum. Legend has it that a hair of the Buddha is kept here.
