They changed a few things like finally the car was a Volkswagen Polo, they picked us up from the airport but didn't deliver the car until the day after... but the communication with Aldi was excellent and also we used a lot of petrol and very little and they refunded us the remaining money, I thought that was a wonderful action on their part that made us recommend them 100% without any doubt. everything was great. The car did a good job and they provided us a friendly service. The only minor downside was that we had to pay 5 euros for the cleaning afterwards which is not common renting a car in western countries. It should be included in my opinion.

The truth is that it was not the best of sensations...to begin with, I seem to remember that we chose the Full-full fuel option and they delivered it to us with only a few km and to return we had to adjust the quantity; It also had a bad reverse gear and it was very difficult to put it in, which was not very safe and then we did not know that they managed private vehicles. For the rest, they tried to make the management as good as possible and after other difficulties in understanding each other, everything was arranged well. Overall good, but I would like more transparency from the beginning... Thank you.

Unfortunately it was a really bad experience, because the car was broken (the entire electric system) so I had several issues during the three days I had the car.... Basically it kinda ruined my vacation in Albania... The renter (Aldi) was nice, he payed me the bus to go back to Tirana from Saranda (because the car was completely dead), and payed me the taxi to go back to the airport.... But actually I payed 168 euro for the car and it was given to me already broken... Very bad experience...at least I should have had back the money for all the problems it brought to me (fisical and mental)...

The Mercedes was old and had driven 300.000 km plus, but okay, the price was good. We had problems with the engine. At a certain point we couldn't go faster than 60 on a road going up, where everyone drove at least 80. It seemed the car had an issue no one understood. Probably overheated. So from then on, we kept the airco switched off. That helped. But it was 38-40 degrees, so airco would have been very welcome. Same day we had a flat tire. Someone came to help us, just a guy on the road, very nice. A guy from the company later came to have the spare flat tire fixed, which was good. At the end of our holidays, when we delivered the car back, the guy that picked it up, started to make a problem about us not having washed the car and that in this state, he couldn't judge if the paint was damaged somewhere. He never told us before about any carwash. He said it was in the contract but that was only in Albanian language. He tried to keep our €100 deposit for this (to wash a car, really??), so we had a terrible argue about this, with him. The one that rents these cars in the website (Aldi) is a really nice guy. He talked this man out of the arguement and finally we got our deposit back.
